Soil Contamination Test Suites

Ecofficiency Ltd has developed a pre-determined range of soil contamination test suites focusing on specific areas of industry associated with contaminated land in the UK.

Our objective is to provide our customer a tailored, user friendly system when requesting analytical test data and remove any uncertainty regarding specific testing requirements for these particular sites. We have taken into consideration all regular occurring contaminants associated with each of these various environments in order to provide accurate data for the waste classification of materials.

Whilst we have covered the majority of eventualities within our test suites, every site has a unique history and in certain instances testing for irregular contaminants such as PCBs and asbestos may be required to supplement our standard range of test suites.

Our range of pre-determined test suites will enable to us to classify your waste as inert, non-hazardous or hazardous for the purpose of re-use or removal from site. Click on the images above to review the full list of analysis covered by each suite.

WAC Testing (Waste Acceptance Criteria) BSEN12457

Please note that WAC testing is often wrongly perceived as the procedure of classifying waste soils into the type of waste, inert, non-hazardous or hazardous. These tests are more time consuming and costly and should only be done subsequent to the waste soils being classed using standard classification testing.

Only then, if the soil is destined for landfill is WAC testing necessary to ensure compliance against regulatory limit values. Due to the 10-day laboratory time required for WAC testing please be advised that an extended 13-day turnaround period would be required.
